In the 15th minute, one of Nothingham City:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Nothingham City. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adrian Gabrio in the 22nd minute of play forced Nothingham City's goalkeeper Anselmo Txindoki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Freddy Crispo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jorge Sol, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. If Bruno Hori had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jorge Sol blasted a shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Freddy Crispo having to make a save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jorge Sol in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Freddy Crispo saved Riachuelo from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Jorge Sol's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Freddy Crispo was relentless in the 29th minute of the game. Saul Bilintx sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Adrian Gabrio struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Anselmo Txindoki didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Riachuelo. In the 36th minute of the match Gonzalo Abadie shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Freddy Crispo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 37 played minutes, Nothingham City's Claudio Rainerio shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Freddy Crispo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Nothingham City reached it. A collision led to Riachuelo getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Oscar Astudillo hit a great ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Adrian Gabrio made the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Adrian Gabrio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Anselmo Txindoki was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. Nothingham City's supporters rose to their feet, but Marciano Vermudo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Freddy Crispo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
