After a rather tough play, Ciénaga's Manuel Rodriguez got a free kick in the 24th minute. Filomeno Silvanito fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Salvador Kepa having to interfere. After 29 minutes of play, Ciénaga's Hipolito Azibar made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Maximino Pirro was left in no man's land by his defense there! The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gaudencio Urtun was the one to do the kick off. If Filomeno Silvanito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nestor Eudoxio's late challenge caught a Paternal FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nestor Eudoxio helped the player get up and apologised. In the 53rd minute, Nestor Eudoxio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ramiro Cloyo charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ramiro Cloyo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ciénaga's Salvador Kepa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gaudencio Urtun in the 87th minute of play. After 94 played minutes Ciénaga got a freekick which was hit by Guaberto Mercurio.
