In the 24th minute, Riachuelo's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Alfonso Iban fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 27 minutes into the match, Riachuelo's goalkeeper Freddy Crispo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alfonso Iban. In the 29th minute Adrian Gabrio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lisandro Dantae saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alfonso Iban fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Freddy Crispo having to interfere. After some careless play in the Monsalvo AFC defense, Saul Bilintx kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lisandro Dantae. The Monsalvo AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lisandro Dantae should have stopped the shot. After the first half Riachuelo were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Lisandro Dantae showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adrian Gabrio in the 62nd minute of the match. Saul Bilintx received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Lisandro Dantae tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lisandro Dantae took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adrian Gabrio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Adrian Gabrio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lisandro Dantae was relentless in the 83rd minute of the game.
