After 14 played minutes, Aurinegro Bahiense's Mariano Serafo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Augusto Bide came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Aurinegro Bahiense reached it. Saul Havier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Saul Havier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Tadeo Balasi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Saul Havier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tadeo Balasi having to interfere. When Tobias Ortle came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the monterrey CF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tobias Ortle couldn't finish the play. In the 31st minute of the match monterrey CF got a corner. Aurinegro Bahiense's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Generoso Balendin ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Generoso Balendin got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Tadeo Balasi quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Tobias Ortle received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Tadeo Balasi came out and tried to block the shot, but Tobias Ortle slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 34th minute. After a rather tough play, monterrey CF's Guido Leheren got a free kick in the 40th minute. Eduardo Lauro might have been able to make a better finish in the 46th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Augusto Bide. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eduardo Lauro ran back to his position shaking his head. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tobias Ortle stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 57th minute, Tobias Ortle got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 63rd match minute, monterrey CF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Victoriano Manex to maneuver through the defense. Augusto Bide was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Damaso Pes. Tobias Ortle scored 3-0 in the 68th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tadeo Balasi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to monterrey CF getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Saul Havier hit a great ball. Benjamin Petrigai received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Augusto Bide tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 79 minutes into the match, monterrey CF's goalkeeper Augusto Bide had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Benjamin Petrigai. Tobias Ortle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Tadeo Balasi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tadeo Balasi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Saul Havier in the 90th minute of the match. An unexpected shot in the 96th minute by Benjamin Petrigai got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. For all the effort they put into the match, the Aurinegro Bahiense players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for monterrey CF.
