Spectators: 7225 (Terracing: 5420, Seating: 1662, VIP seats: 143) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Joaquin Valerio started the match with the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Federico Johans managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mar del Tuyu FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Federico Johans was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vinicio Cristofol breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 9 minutes into the game, Tomás Senen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Real Palermo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mar del Tuyu FC the free kick. A collision led to Real Palermo getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Tomás Senen hit a great ball. Clemente Iyan took the ball and in the 12 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vinicio Cristofol. Vinicio Cristofol dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 15 minutes into the match, Real Palermo's goal looked a bit too open when Clemente Iyan came free, but Vinicio Cristofol reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 18th minute, Rigoberto Cordeara got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Vinicio Cristofol showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Federico Johans, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Mar del Tuyu FC's Adan Silbestre played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joaquin Valerio in the 25th minute of play. Vinicio Cristofol took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Federico Johans, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Joaquin Valerio was extremely unlucky when he, in the 29th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. If Rigoberto Cordeara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Adan Silbestre made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joaquin Valerio in the 36th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Real Palermo's zone, Federico Johans stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vinicio Cristofol came out of the goal and Federico Johans tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vinicio Cristofol made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Federico Johans in the 41st minute of play. Federico Johans fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vinicio Cristofol having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Real Palermo's Tomás Senen got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Clemente Iyan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 53 minutes Real Palermo's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Abelardo Leguizamón who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Abelardo Leguizamón got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Vinicio Cristofol quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Federico Johans received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Vinicio Cristofol tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 63rd minute of the match, Clemente Iyan tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Vinicio Cristofol saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Amancio Baraquiel's late challenge caught a Mar del Tuyu FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Amancio Baraquiel helped the player get up and apologised. Clemente Iyan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Vinicio Cristofol tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Dario Reyes fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Real Palermo's protests and gave Dario Reyes a yellow card for diving instead. After 68 played minutes Real Palermo got a freekick which was hit by Dario Reyes. In a very dangerous position, a player in Real Palermo fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 70th minute. Penalty! Abelardo Leguizamón walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Leandro Iratxo hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Through an outstanding action, after 80 minutes, Vinicio Cristofol successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Adan Silbestre showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rigoberto Cordeara, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Rigoberto Cordeara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Adan Silbestre tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Joaquin Valerio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 97th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
