When Salvador Urtzi fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Independiente's protests and gave Salvador Urtzi a yellow card for diving instead. Salvador Urtzi kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 19 minutes, Adan Bordat took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Godofredo Librado to make any attempt to save it. In the 30th minute, Elias Calisto ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Anselmo Quintun was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Godofredo Librado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Geronimo Senio in the 34th minute of the match. After having played for 38 minutes, Emanuel Terciero managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Matheu AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emanuel Terciero was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. During the 39th minute of the match Salvador Urtzi completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Salvador Urtzi a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Salvador Urtzi kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emanuel Terciero in the 46th minute of play forced Independiente's goalkeeper Godofredo Librado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Matheu AFC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Independiente were winning 1-2.

Emanuel Terciero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Godofredo Librado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Anselmo Quintun dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. When Emanuel Terciero came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Matheu AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emanuel Terciero couldn't finish the play. Independiente's Godofredo Librado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adan Bordat in the 67th minute of play. Godofredo Librado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adan Bordat, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Elias Calisto hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. When Elias Calisto fell near the penalty area in the 75th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. In the 80th minute, Adan Bordat left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Matheu AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. Melchor Adrio struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Godofredo Librado didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Matheu AFC. In the 90th minute, Adan Bordat made a precise shot to the right of Godofredo Librado. Independiente's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-3. Celso Jaunzuria sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.
