The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Guaberto Louis showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Bernardo James's late challenge caught a Contraataque FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bernardo James helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Contraataque FC booed when Juanchis FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernardo James didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jose Argina in the 31st minute of play forced Juanchis FC's goalkeeper Guaberto Louis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Juanchis FC booed when Contraataque FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anier Polo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hipolito Xabier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sergio Polentzi having to interfere. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 44 minutes into the match, Contraataque FC's goal looked a bit too open when Hipolito Xabier came free, but Sergio Polentzi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Feliciano Resto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Guaberto Louis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jose Argina made a kick off. After 54 minutes, Marcelo Lizar mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Juanchis FC and the Contraataque FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a defensive mix-up in Contraataque FC's zone, Tomas Socorro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sergio Polentzi came out of the goal and Tomas Socorro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Laureano Hernandez hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Feliciano Resto scored 0-1 in the 77th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Guaberto Louis, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomas Socorro in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sergio Polentzi saved Contraataque FC from getting behind. After 85 minutes, Felipe Tano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Contraataque FC and the Juanchis FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Contraataque FC's Felipe Tano got a free kick in the 85th minute. Tomas Socorro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Sergio Polentzi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
