Albano Ferrando who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 91stth minute tested the skills of Godofredo Librado when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Julio Orain came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by Independiente's Elias Calisto. But to his dismay, Elias Calisto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Independiente's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
