Spectators: 7063 (Terracing: 5406, Seating: 1657, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Hipolito Xabier started the match with the kick off. Godofredo Librado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Socorro in the 9th minute of the match. In the 22nd minute, Bernardo James hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 24 played minutes Juanchis FC got a freekick which was hit by Pablo Sanduru. After a rather tough play, Independiente's Salvador Urtzi got a free kick in the 30th minute. Independiente's Godofredo Librado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Socorro in the 32nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hipolito Xabier in the 34th minute of play forced Independiente's goalkeeper Godofredo Librado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tomas Socorro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Independiente getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Primitivo Gagriel hit a great ball. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind Independiente's goalkeeper Godofredo Librado, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Godofredo Librado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hipolito Xabier in the 41st minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cristo Mendiko during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 42nd match minute, Independiente was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristo Mendiko to maneuver through the defense. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Celso Jaunzuria stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Tomas Socorro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 55 minutes, Elias Calisto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Independiente's supporters crossed their fingers, but Elias Calisto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Marcelo Lizar hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Celso Jaunzuria recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 59th match minute, Juanchis FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Octavio Delfino to maneuver through the defense. If Celso Jaunzuria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Celso Jaunzuria fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guaberto Louis having to interfere. Tomas Socorro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Tomas Socorro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 79th minute of the match, but Godofredo Librado made a huge save. Tomas Socorro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Guaberto Louis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Celso Jaunzuria in the 85th minute of play. Nestor Montes hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. After 95 played minutes Independiente got a freekick which was hit by Salvador Urtzi. Hipolito Xabier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Godofredo Librado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
