Dead End FC's Iker Ur shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 20th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Alfredo Intxixu but with some difficulty. In the 22nd minute Victorino Bizen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfredo Intxixu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 31st minute, Dead End FC's Placido Lidon ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Alfredo Intxixu. Alfredo Intxixu yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Santos Pudes in the 35th minute of play forced PENAYOFC's goalkeeper Alfredo Intxixu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Dead End FC booed when PENAYOFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcelo Castulo didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to PENAYOFC getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Marcelo Castulo hit a great ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Herminio Eliu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Tomás Ekain had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tomás Ekain hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Placido Lidon in the 66th minute of play forced PENAYOFC's goalkeeper Alfredo Intxixu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Dead End FC's zone, Herminio Eliu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Venancio Luzaide came out of the goal and Herminio Eliu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Dead End FC players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
