Alfredo Intxixu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Martin Celio in the 11th minute of the match. Alfredo Intxixu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teo Bertin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A sloppy throw-in by Arturo Ortzi in the 14th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by PENAYOFC's Adrian Leheren. In the 26th match minute, PENAYOFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adrian Leheren to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, PENAYOFC's Tomás Ekain got a free kick in the 46th minute. After the first half Clemen´s For Ever were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jairo Montrel made a kick off. When Jairo Montrel came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Clemen´s For Ever fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jairo Montrel couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the PENAYOFC defense, Arturo Ortzi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alfredo Intxixu. The PENAYOFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alfredo Intxixu should have stopped the shot. PENAYOFC's Alfredo Intxixu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teo Bertin in the 61st minute of play. Alfredo Intxixu came out of the goal and Enzo Cambiasso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match was over Clemen´s For Ever could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than PENAYOFC throughout the match.
