The audience thought a goal was coming when Herminio Eliu got free with Joel Ermano in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Herminio Eliu in the 10thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Joel Ermano, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After some careless play in the PENAYOFC defense, Cirilo Cresconio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alfredo Intxixu. Alfredo Intxixu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arsenio Adrio, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Herminio Elius short, quick shot in the 26thth minute got Joel Ermano to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Tomás Ekain recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 30th minute, Victoriano Bernabel made a precise shot to the right of Alfredo Intxixu. PENAYOFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Baldomero Polentzi in the 34th minute of play forced PENAYOFC's goalkeeper Alfredo Intxixu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A sloppy throw-in by Guillermo Tulio in the 94th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by PENAYOFC's Aristides Behe. Although PENAYOFC had been in control for most of the match, Defensores de Belgrano still came away with the win.
