After 13 played minutes La Scaloneta F.C got a freekick which was hit by Luis Larpe. In the 20th minute, Ricardo Arlo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Federico Marin was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Luis Larpe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hernan Laurin in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ermegildo Formerio saved Excelxion from getting behind. Ermegildo Formerio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Larpe, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Federico Marin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ricardo Arlo, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Luis Larpe recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 36 minutes into the game, Primitivo Celipe was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Excelxion's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave La Scaloneta F.C the free kick. The supporters of La Scaloneta F.C booed when Excelxion was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Primitivo Celipe didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hernan Laurin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ermegildo Formerio having to interfere. Federico Marin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ricardo Arlo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Excelxion's zone, Nicanor Banegas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ermegildo Formerio came out of the goal and Nicanor Banegas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

52 minutes into the game, La Scaloneta F.C's Hernan Laurin nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ermegildo Formerio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Federico Marin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fausto Millan in the 57th minute. Ermegildo Formerio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hernan Laurin's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. Luis Larpe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Baldomiro Cucao's late challenge caught a La Scaloneta F.C's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Excelxion's Ermegildo Formerio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicanor Banegas in the 62nd minute of play. In the 63rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Excelxion's goalkeeper Ermegildo Formerio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In a very dangerous position, a player in La Scaloneta F.C fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 69th minute. Penalty! Federico Marin went to the wrong direction when Faustino Roano was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ricardo Arlo in the 74th minute of play forced La Scaloneta F.C's goalkeeper Federico Marin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Excelxion booed when La Scaloneta F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hernan Laurin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ricardo Arlo in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Federico Marin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 78th minute, Primitivo Celipe ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Federico Marin was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. After having played for 88 minutes, Danilo Segio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. La Scaloneta F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Danilo Segio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 90 minutes into the match, La Scaloneta F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Ricardo Arlo came free, but Federico Marin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Benedicto Eliu charged in rather forcefully in the 90th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Benedicto Eliu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 91st match minute, La Scaloneta F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benedicto Eliu to maneuver through the defense. Federico Marin came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by Excelxion's Fausto Millan. But to his dismay, Fausto Millan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Benedicto Eliu hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match.
