The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Angelo Vedillo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 5th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Tomas Laurin. CLUB NAUTICO ZARATE's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Pascual Berriotxoa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dionisio Milian received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Vinicio Venceslas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Guillermo Salomone received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. In the 13th match minute, Ombucta FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teo Silbestre to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ubaldo Ihintza in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tomas Laurin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Tomas Laurin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pascual Berriotxoa in the 32nd minute of play. Ubaldo Ihintza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ubaldo Ihintza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tomas Laurin having to interfere. In the 39th minute Pascual Berriotxoa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tomas Laurin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Guillermo Salomone managed to get in a good position for a shot. CLUB NAUTICO ZARATE's supporters rose to their feet, but Guillermo Salomone was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vinicio Venceslas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ombucta FC's Ubaldo Ihintza got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dionisio Milian to make the kick off. The supporters of Ombucta FC booed when CLUB NAUTICO ZARATE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Froilan Hernandez didn't get a good kick on the ball. 54 minutes into the match, Ubaldo Ihintza had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tomas Laurin. CLUB NAUTICO ZARATE's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ubaldo Ihintza was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. A collision led to Ombucta FC getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Enzo Lauren hit a great ball. 61 minutes into the match, Ombucta FC's goal looked a bit too open when Froilan Hernandez came free, but Vinicio Venceslas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dionisio Milian in the 64th minute of play forced Ombucta FC's goalkeeper Vinicio Venceslas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 66 minutes, Ubaldo Ihintza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ombucta FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ubaldo Ihintza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. CLUB NAUTICO ZARATE's Guillermo Salomone got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ubaldo Ihintza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Tomas Laurin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ombucta FC played a much better game than CLUB NAUTICO ZARATE and deserved their victory. The CLUB NAUTICO ZARATE players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
