If Guaberto Kiliz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sotelo AFC's Faustino Oso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cesar Teyo in the 7th minute of play. Siro Tebaldo struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Jairo Millan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sotelo AFC. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Guaberto Kiliz in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jairo Millan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Guaberto Kiliz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sotelo AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Guaberto Kiliz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jairo Millan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 17th match minute, Sotelo AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Flavio Loco to maneuver through the defense. In the 26th minute, Jonatan Avellaneda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Club Deportivo Palestino's Jairo Millan got control of the ball when Siro Tebaldo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Faustino Oso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonatan Avellaneda in the 30th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cesar Teyo in the 33rd minute of play forced Sotelo AFC's goalkeeper Faustino Oso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 37 minutes into the match, Club Deportivo Palestino's Cesar Teyo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Faustino Oso narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Sotelo AFC's zone, Cesar Teyo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Faustino Oso came out of the goal and Cesar Teyo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Anacleto Gonsalvo fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sotelo AFC's protests and gave Anacleto Gonsalvo a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Sotelo AFC's Anacleto Gonsalvo got a free kick in the 43rd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jonatan Avellaneda in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Faustino Oso saved Sotelo AFC from getting behind. In the 46th match minute, Sotelo AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Romeo Pedroso to maneuver through the defense. Cesar Teyo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Faustino Oso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Guaberto Kiliz was the one to do the kick off. Marco Gelmiro hit a great ball. Sotelo AFC's Faustino Oso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save Sotelo AFC from getting a goal against them. In the 62nd minute, Flavio Loco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jonatan Avellaneda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Guillermo Elodio during the 68th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Sotelo AFC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 67th minute. Penalty! The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jairo Millan showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The Club Deportivo Palestino supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Club Deportivo Palestino would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
