Domingos Lonzo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bonifacio Arias having to interfere. Feliberto Eneko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fernando Lopes charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fernando Lopes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 16th match minute, Goldney AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fernando Lopes to maneuver through the defense. Feliberto Eneko recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Vinicio Ledesma managed to get in a good position for a shot. Goldney AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Vinicio Ledesma was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fabian Loreto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bonifacio Arias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Feliberto Eneko in the 26th minute of play. Fernando Lopes struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Fabian Loreto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Goldney AFC. Vinicio Ledesma sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fabian Loreto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vinicio Ledesma, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Bonifacio Arias stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Feliberto Eneko's shot from short distance in the 45th minute. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Vinicio Ledesma was the one to do the kick off. Fernando Lopes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 56 minutes into the match, Goldney AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Feliberto Eneko came free, but Bonifacio Arias reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Goldney AFC's zone, Feliberto Eneko stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bonifacio Arias came out of the goal and Feliberto Eneko tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Goldney AFC's Bonifacio Arias proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save Goldney AFC from getting a goal against them. Fernando Lopes got his second yellow card in the match during the 73rd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 73rd minute, Fernando Lopes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Otamendi booed when Goldney AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vinicio Ledesma didn't get a good kick on the ball. Feliberto Eneko's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bonifacio Arias read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Otamendi's Domingos Lonzo got a free kick in the 78th minute. 81 minutes into the match, Domingos Lonzo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bonifacio Arias. Goldney AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Domingos Lonzo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Goldney AFC's Bonifacio Arias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Feliberto Eneko in the 93rd minute of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Otamendi had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
