Baldomiro Bento breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Fernando Lopes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baldomiro Bento having to interfere. Fernando Lopes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A collision led to Goldney AFC getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Constantino Seme hit a great ball. Bonifacio Arias took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Severo Gonzo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Leonel Pinto charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Leonel Pinto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Goldney AFC's Leonel Pinto got a free kick in the 24th minute. When Goldney AFC's Vinicio Ledesma in the 28th minute got a chance for a shot 28th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Severo Gonzo in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bonifacio Arias prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Severo Gonzo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vinicio Ledesma to make the kick off. Cofradía Suiza's Baldomiro Bento played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vinicio Ledesma in the 53rd minute of play. Goldney AFC's Bonifacio Arias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lino Dubardo in the 56th minute of play. Feliciano Papo was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 79 minutes into the match. In the 78th minute, one of Goldney AFC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Goldney AFC. If Leonel Pinto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cofradía Suiza's Baldomiro Bento proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save Cofradía Suiza from getting a goal against them. Fernando Lopes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baldomiro Bento having to interfere. Fernando Lopes struck a weak shot in the 98th minute. Baldomiro Bento didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Goldney AFC. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
