Esparta's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rogelio Lorien was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rogelio Lorien could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Leon Gasteiz made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pascual Pinto in the 11th minute of play forced Talacasto FC's goalkeeper Leon Gasteiz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 14 minutes, Zacarias Perutxo put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Aquiles Ixona. Aquiles Ixona took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zacarias Perutxo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Esparta's Ezequiel Dabi got a free kick in the 36th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roman Eneto in the 38th minute of play forced Esparta's goalkeeper Aquiles Ixona to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zacarias Perutxo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Aquiles Ixona tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zacarias Perutxo might have been able to make a better finish in the 45th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Aquiles Ixona. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Zacarias Perutxo ran back to his position shaking his head. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Pascual Pinto made the kick off in the second half. Roman Eneto was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 55th minute. Talacasto FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 60th minute, Pascual Pinto made a precise shot to the right of Leon Gasteiz. Talacasto FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zacarias Perutxo got free with Aquiles Ixona in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rogelio Lorien during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Esparta's Rogelio Lorien got a free kick in the 70th minute. Roberto Raebert charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Aquiles Ixona didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Talacasto FC. Zacarias Perutxo was extremely unlucky when he, in the 93rd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Talacasto FC played a much better game than Esparta and deserved their victory. The Esparta players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
