The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Marco Romo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elias Raphael, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. 51 minutes into the game, Elias Raphael cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. The supporters of Apuyaco FC booed when Desaguadero was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christian Arano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Elias Raphael's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marco Romo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. Apuyaco FC's Leonel Gaur got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
