The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Americo Polentzi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 5th match minute, Chiriguanos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcelo Boniel to maneuver through the defense. In the 6th minute of the match Gabriel Benat sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Edelmiro Hulberto skillfully saved the ball. Chiriguanos's Nereo Ostadar managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Gabriel Benat in the 7 minute of the game. Edelmiro Hulberto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emilio Bastiaro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Echagüe Fútbol Club's zone, Eduardo Bernaldo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rogelio Maureo came out of the goal and Eduardo Bernaldo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Edelmiro Hulberto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emilio Bastiaro in the 23rd minute of the match. 25 minutes into the match, Chiriguanos's goal looked a bit too open when Eustacio Pacho came free, but Edelmiro Hulberto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Americo Polentzi who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 26thth minute tested the skills of Rogelio Maureo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Rogelio Maureo made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Americo Polentzi sent off a good shot on target. If Americo Polentzi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Eduardo Bernaldo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Nereo Ostadar in the 44thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Rogelio Maureo, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. A collision led to Chiriguanos getting a freekick after 48 minutes play. Americo Polentzi hit a great ball.
Baldomero Lore's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Edelmiro Hulberto firmly grabbed it by the left post. Nereo Ostadar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 57th minute, Gilberto Macario had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. Gabriel Benat charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gabriel Benat the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Chiriguanos made a substitution. Igor Peru replaced Gilberto Macario. The supporters of Chiriguanos booed when Echagüe Fútbol Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gabriel Benat didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 67 minutes, Emilio Bastiaro took a quick shot and it went in 0-1 without a chance for Edelmiro Hulberto to make any attempt to save it. Baldomero Lore charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Baldomero Lore the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Baldomero Lore hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Emilio Bastiaro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edelmiro Hulberto having to interfere. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Echagüe Fútbol Club walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
