Hermengildo Dalmai sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 16 minutes into the game, Hermengildo Dalmai cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. German Dimas was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Aurelio Esdras took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 26th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for German Dimas. Chipaté's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Hermengildo Dalmai's late challenge caught a Chipaté's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hermengildo Dalmai helped the player get up and apologised. If Eriberto Nofre had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Caleufú AFC's Hermengildo Dalmai got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Emanuel Prejun's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arnulfo Urki read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. Hermengildo Dalmai sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Aurelio Esdras had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

In the 80th minute, Caleufú AFC's Epifanio Chap seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Epifanio Chap the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Caleufú AFC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Epifanio Chap had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in Caleufú AFC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 79th minute. Penalty! Caleufú AFC:s Arnulfo Urki showed great skill when he stopped Tomás Artaldo:s penalty. After 82 minutes of play, Chipaté's Tomás Artaldo made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Arnulfo Urki was left in no man's land by his defense there! Hermengildo Dalmai sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 92nd minute of the match Chipaté got a corner. Caleufú AFC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Tomás Artaldo ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Chipaté's Tomás Artaldo to fire away a dangerous shot which Arnulfo Urki despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Chipaté's zone, Hermengildo Dalmai stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. German Dimas came out of the goal and Hermengildo Dalmai tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Carmelo Olayo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
