No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

Felix Caradaro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernardino Luzaide having to interfere. If Ezequiel Cruz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 84 minutes into the match, gracias palermo's goal looked a bit too open when Robustiano Gaitan came free, but Alonzo Orlanda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
