In the 6th match minute, QUILMES A.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Delmar Calixto to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to QUILMES A.C getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Blas Matteo hit a great ball. After 8 played minutes, CA Rafaela's Leopoldo Caton shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Niceto Odon came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in CA Rafaela reached it. QUILMES A.C's Niceto Odon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ruperto Gudesteo in the 10th minute of play. The supporters of CA Rafaela booed when QUILMES A.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Blas Matteo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 12th match minute, QUILMES A.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Delmar Calixto to maneuver through the defense. QUILMES A.C's Paulino Herrera got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Victor Oro charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Victor Oro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of QUILMES A.C booed when CA Rafaela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Victor Oro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Paulino Herrera received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Enzo Bikendi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Victorio Errolan struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Enzo Bikendi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for QUILMES A.C. 31 minutes into the game, Victorio Errolan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. QUILMES A.C's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CA Rafaela the free kick. Victorio Errolan kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. After 36 played minutes, QUILMES A.C's Fidel Pabla shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Enzo Bikendi came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. Niceto Odon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Froilan Itzaina, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Froilan Itzaina recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ruperto Gudesteo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Froilan Itzaina to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, QUILMES A.C's Blas Matteo got a free kick in the 52nd minute. 55 minutes into the game, Nicolas Quilino was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. QUILMES A.C's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CA Rafaela the free kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ruperto Gudesteo in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Niceto Odon saved QUILMES A.C from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Blas Matteo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Enzo Bikendi was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game. After having played for 63 minutes, Victorio Errolan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. QUILMES A.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Victorio Errolan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 65th minute Paulino Herrera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enzo Bikendi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cleto Azibar kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. CA Rafaela's Leopoldo Caton couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 70th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for QUILMES A.C. Froilan Itzaina received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Niceto Odon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Froilan Itzaina hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. When Ruperto Gudesteo came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the CA Rafaela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ruperto Gudesteo couldn't finish the play. If Froilan Itzaina had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Niceto Odon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ruperto Gudesteo, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
