Albano Franco breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match had gone on for 18 minutes, Vinicio Ostadar took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Albano Franco to make any attempt to save it. Blas Casomiro hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Calmayo's Blas Casomiro got a free kick in the 26th minute. 27 minutes into the match, Chacras's Ladislao Leheren broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The audience was convinced that Marcos Claus's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marco Haimar was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. If Alfonso Bazil had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Calmayo booed when Chacras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guillermo Itzaina didn't get a good kick on the ball. Calmayo's Marco Haimar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcos Claus in the 45th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Vinicio Ostadar to strike the kick off in the second half. If Agustin Chuan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Albano Franco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Blas Casomiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Calmayo's zone, Agustin Chuan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marco Haimar came out of the goal and Agustin Chuan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Calmayo's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
