Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Enzo Bikendi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tadeo Bernat, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. When Victor Oro fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CA Rafaela's protests and gave Victor Oro a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, CA Rafaela's Victor Oro got a free kick in the 46th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

After 52 played minutes CA Rafaela got a freekick which was hit by Victor Oro. After 55 minutes, Fabio Firme mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the CA Rafaela and the Martínez players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Martínez booed when CA Rafaela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Epifanio Colon didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Tadeo Bernat had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Enzo Bikendi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gaston Cordarrel in the 63rd minute. After 76 minutes of play, Martínez's Tadeo Bernat made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Enzo Bikendi was left in no man's land by his defense there! Tadeo Bernat received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Enzo Bikendi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Froilan Itzaina's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ivan Ostargi was relentless in the 86th minute of the game.
