Alberto Padro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Santiago Neron having to interfere. 9 minutes into the match, Gimnasia y salto en alto's goal looked a bit too open when Guaberto Milian came free, but Santiago Neron reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Guaberto Milian sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Gimnasia y salto en alto getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Virgilio Jacindo hit a great ball. Oscar Macerio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Santiago Neron showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anselmo Otoniel, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Andres Amato hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Leonel Frederik stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Oscar Macerio's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. Guaberto Milian fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Santiago Neron having to interfere. Santiago Neron came out of the goal in the 46th minute to try and stop a shot by Sportivo Capucha's Alberto Padro. But to his dismay, Alberto Padro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Oscar Macerio in the 55th minute of play forced Sportivo Capucha's goalkeeper Leonel Frederik to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ubaldo Chayo charged in rather forcefully in the 63rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ubaldo Chayo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Sportivo Capucha fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 62nd minute. Penalty! Gimnasia y salto en alto's Santiago Neron played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Padro in the 68th minute of play. Guaberto Milian received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Santiago Neron tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Benigno Silvanito recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Leonel Frederik showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Virgilio Jacindo in the 84th minute of the match. After 86 minutes of play, Sportivo Capucha's Alberto Padro made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Santiago Neron was left in no man's land by his defense there! Andres Amato fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonel Frederik having to interfere. Santiago Neron made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anselmo Otoniel in the 98th minute of play. Sportivo Capucha's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
