Isidro Fe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guaberto Milian in the 17th minute of the match. In the 24th minute Saturnino Olo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonel Frederik saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Colpes's Isidro Fe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guaberto Milian in the 26th minute of play. Guaberto Milian might have been able to make a better finish in the 29th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Isidro Fe. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Guaberto Milian ran back to his position shaking his head. When the match clock showed 30 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Guaberto Milian sped through Colpes's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Isidro Fe. Sportivo Capucha's Alberto Padro got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Guaberto Milian fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Isidro Fe having to interfere. Alberto Padro struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Isidro Fe didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sportivo Capucha. Saturnino Olo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonel Frederik having to interfere. Leo Izel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonel Frederik having to interfere. After the first half Sportivo Capucha were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

52 minutes into the match, Sportivo Capucha's goal looked a bit too open when Leo Izel came free, but Leonel Frederik reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Colpes booed when Sportivo Capucha was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benigno Silvanito didn't get a good kick on the ball.
