Generoso Clis took the ball and in the 3 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Leonel Frederik. Leonel Frederik dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nicasio Mede in the 7th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Leonel Frederik prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 9 minutes into the match, Domingo Ovando had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Leonel Frederik. Sportivo Capucha's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Domingo Ovando was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Gnecco 's Generoso Clis got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 16th minute, Nicasio Mede left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gnecco fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. When Isidro Tonete fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gnecco 's protests and gave Isidro Tonete a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Gnecco getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Isidro Tonete hit a great ball. Leonel Frederik showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Generoso Clis in the 27th minute of the match. When the match clock showed 30 minutes, the score became 0-4 when Domingo Ovando sped through Sportivo Capucha's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Leonel Frederik. Nicasio Mede fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonel Frederik having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Nicasio Mede managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gnecco 's supporters rose to their feet, but Nicasio Mede was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leonel Frederik breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Sportivo Capucha's zone, Nicasio Mede stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leonel Frederik came out of the goal and Nicasio Mede tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Nicasio Mede had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Domingo Ovando in the 45th minute of play forced Sportivo Capucha's goalkeeper Leonel Frederik to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nicasio Mede stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Nicasio Mede came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Gnecco fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nicasio Mede couldn't finish the play. In the 55th minute, Alberto Padro made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Jusepe. Gnecco 's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4. In the 58th minute Generoso Clis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonel Frederik saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Generoso Clis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 61st minute, Gnecco 's Generoso Clis dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-5. If Alberto Padro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With his leg Leonel Frederik managed to avoid a goal in the 71stth minute, when Gnecco 's Nicasio Mede fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Horacio Bero charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Horacio Bero the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 75th minute, Horacio Bero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Guaberto Milian received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Jonathan Jusepe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nicasio Mede could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Leonel Frederik made a huge save. Generoso Clis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonel Frederik having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nicasio Mede in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Leonel Frederik saved Sportivo Capucha from getting behind. In the 89th minute of the match, Nicasio Mede got a very nice opportunity to score, but Leonel Frederik was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Generoso Clis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When the match was over Gnecco could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Sportivo Capucha throughout the match.
