An unexpectedly hard shot by Oscar Macerio in the 28th minute of play forced Báez's goalkeeper Narciso Oidor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Oscar Macerio kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Narciso Oidor. That made the score 1-0 in the 37 minute of play. In the 41st minute, Gimnasia y salto en alto's Virgilio Jacindo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. In the 46th minute, Gimnasia y salto en alto's Oscar Macerio ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Narciso Oidor. Narciso Oidor yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Anier Lugo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Narciso Oidor didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Oscar Macerio went, in the 62nd minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. Virgilio Jacindo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Narciso Oidor having to make a save. Oscar Macerio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Narciso Oidor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oscar Macerio in the 78th minute of the match. In the 81stth minute of the game Oscar Macerio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Báez's Narciso Oidor was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Virgilio Jacindo in the 89th minute of play forced Báez's goalkeeper Narciso Oidor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 91st minute, Virgilio Jacindo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net.
