Spectators: 6671 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1671, VIP seats: 0) CA RIVER PLATE's Gogo Ubelteso started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gogo Ubelteso in the 3rd minute of play forced Guayamba FC's goalkeeper Tobias Romelio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Rigoberto Chaime came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Guayamba FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rigoberto Chaime couldn't finish the play. 8 minutes into the match, Gogo Ubelteso had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tobias Romelio. Guayamba FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gogo Ubelteso was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Rigoberto Chaime could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Paulino Ortzi made a huge save. 17 minutes into the match, Diego Lixandro notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Guayamba FC's Tobias Romelio. Tobias Romelio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Diego Lixandro in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tobias Romelio saved Guayamba FC from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benedicto Berdaitz in the 27th minute of play forced Guayamba FC's goalkeeper Tobias Romelio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 32 minutes into the game, Benedicto Berdaitz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Tobias Romelio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gogo Ubelteso in the 35th minute of play forced Guayamba FC's goalkeeper Tobias Romelio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tobias Romelio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benedicto Berdaitz in the 36th minute of the match. In the 37th minute Gogo Ubelteso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tobias Romelio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tobias Romelio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gogo Ubelteso in the 39th minute of play. Tobias Romelio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Diego Lixandro in the 40th minute of the match. 44 minutes into the match, Guayamba FC's goal looked a bit too open when Benedicto Berdaitz came free, but Tobias Romelio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tobias Romelio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benedicto Berdaitz in the 46th minute of play.

In the 52nd minute, Diego Lixandro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, Guayamba FC's Tobias Romelio got control of the ball when Benedicto Berdaitz tried to sneak it across the goal line. Diego Lixandro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Tobias Romelio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Benedicto Berdaitz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tobias Romelio having to interfere. Guayamba FC's Tobias Romelio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gogo Ubelteso in the 64th minute of play. Tobias Romelio came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by CA RIVER PLATE's Benedicto Berdaitz. But to his dismay, Benedicto Berdaitz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. Guayamba FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 75th minute, when Gogo Ubelteso scored to the left of an out of position Tobias Romelio, making the score, 0-6. The crowd rose to their feet as Benedicto Berdaitz kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Tobias Romelio. That made the score 0-7 in the 79 minute of play. In the 83rd minute Amancio Taurino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulino Ortzi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Benedicto Berdaitz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Guayamba FC's zone, Roman Inocente stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tobias Romelio came out of the goal and Roman Inocente tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gogo Ubelteso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Guayamba FC's Tobias Romelio got control of the ball when Albano Abad tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 91 played minutes Guayamba FC got a freekick which was hit by Amancio Taurino. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gogo Ubelteso in the 93rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tobias Romelio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match was over CA RIVER PLATE could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Guayamba FC throughout the match.
