Eusebio Columbo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ismael Cordareo having to interfere. Eugenio Sesuldo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 4th minute of the match, but Ismael Cordareo made a huge save. In the 10th minute Hipolito Napier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cesar Roano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Macomitas AFC's Eusebio Columbo got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 18th minute, Eusebio Columbo reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ismael Cordareo. The goal made the score 2-0. Eugenio Sesuldo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Ismael Cordareo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cesar Roano didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Benicio Larra went, in the 29th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. If Santos Rosario had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hipolito Napier recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cesar Roano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benicio Larra, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. 6 Febrero 1989's Ismael Cordareo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eusebio Columbo in the 43rd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Eugenio Sesuldo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Macomitas AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Eugenio Sesuldo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ismael Cordareo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

Ismael Cordareo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eusebio Columbo in the 52nd minute of the match. Cornelio Peli took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 56th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ismael Cordareo. 6 Febrero 1989's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Cesar Roano stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Benicio Larra's shot from short distance in the 62nd minute. When Eusebio Columbo came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Macomitas AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eusebio Columbo couldn't finish the play. Ismael Cordareo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eusebio Columbo's shot from short distance in the 69th minute. A collision led to 6 Febrero 1989 getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Romulo Meder hit a great ball. Ismael Cordareo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eugenio Sesuldo, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute.
