Eulalio Nicholas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Urbano Cesario in the 9th minute of play. Aurelio Larra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Camilo Valentine having to interfere. In the 31st match minute, Hipatía was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by German Frederico to maneuver through the defense. Danilo Hermelando struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Eulalio Nicholas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hipatía. Eulalio Nicholas didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Adolfo Chayo went, in the 39th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. 43 minutes into the game, Hipatía's Adolfo Chayo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Eulalio Nicholas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Eulalio Nicholas didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Adolfo Chayo went, in the 47th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The wind increased when Anier Incendio made the kick off in the second half. 62 minutes into the match, Anier Incendio notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Hipatía's Camilo Valentine. Camilo Valentine was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Adolfo Chayo came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Hipatía fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adolfo Chayo couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Adolfo Chayo got free with Eulalio Nicholas in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Hipatía played a much better game than Lavalia and deserved their victory. The Lavalia players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
