Luis Esdras hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. A collision led to Pepones getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Everardo Goi hit a great ball. Clemente Bartoli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ivan Selmo in the 12th minute of play. In the 15th minute Bernardo Ieltxu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Clemente Bartoli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pepones's Clemente Bartoli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jacobo Guillen in the 18th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mauricio Manex in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rogelio Mitxaut saved Curapaligüé from getting behind.
