Galga United's supporters rose to their feet, but Arnoldo Cedro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jorge Frechoso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Dimas in the 10th minute of play forced Galga United's goalkeeper Clodoveo Betadur to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Clodoveo Betadur showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isidro Hurko in the 11th minute of the match. In the 13th minute Julian Dimas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Clodoveo Betadur saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of C.A.I booed when Galga United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maximiliano Ticho didn't get a good kick on the ball. Maximiliano Ticho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Jorge Frechoso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jorge Frechoso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cesar Casado's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. C.A.I's Jorge Frechoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maximiliano Ticho in the 19th minute of play. Jorge Frechoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arnoldo Cedro, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. In the 22nd match minute, C.A.I was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leon Ferrer to maneuver through the defense. In the 25th minute there was a penalty for Galga United. Cesar Casado stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Jorge Frechoso. 1-0. With a little luck, C.A.I's Jorge Frechoso got control of the ball when Arturo Iliana tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 30th minute of the match, Cesar Casado tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Jorge Frechoso saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After a defensive mix-up in C.A.I's zone, Cesar Casado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jorge Frechoso came out of the goal and Cesar Casado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. C.A.I's Jorge Frechoso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save C.A.I from getting a goal against them. Cesar Casado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Jorge Frechoso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 39th minute, Maximiliano Ticho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Galga United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Arturo Iliana received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jorge Frechoso came out and tried to block the shot, but Arturo Iliana slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 43rd minute. Jorge Frechoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arturo Iliana in the 46th minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Julian Dimas to make the kick off. Julian Dimas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Clodoveo Betadur having to interfere. Arnoldo Cedro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jorge Frechoso having to make a save. Galga United's Arturo Iliana got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Galga United's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Arturo Iliana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 90 minutes of play, Galga United's Cesar Casado made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jorge Frechoso was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Arturo Iliana came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Galga United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arturo Iliana couldn't finish the play. In the 96th minute, Arnoldo Cedro made a precise shot to the right of Jorge Frechoso. C.A.I's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. Galga United walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
