Gaudencio Paul made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cesar Casado in the 15th minute of play. In the 16th match minute, Galga United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arturo Iliana to maneuver through the defense. Arturo Iliana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Gaudencio Paul tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gaudencio Paul stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Arturo Iliana's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. Celestino Lordi kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Gaudencio Paul took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arturo Iliana, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Galga United booed when GDA.Fc. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rodolfo Orlanda didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Cesar Casado came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Galga United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cesar Casado couldn't finish the play. Gaudencio Paul stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Arturo Iliana's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. The supporters of Galga United booed when GDA.Fc. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rodolfo Orlanda didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 36 minutes, Cesar Casado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Galga United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cesar Casado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Maximiliano Ticho kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. After 40 played minutes Galga United got a freekick which was hit by Arnoldo Cedro. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Arsenio Arnalt scored 1-0 in the 51st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Clodoveo Betadur, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Galga United's supporters rose to their feet, but Maximiliano Ticho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gaudencio Paul breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Despite being the better team, Galga United failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
