Amado Hanni received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Filiberto Gomez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Amado Hanni had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gaudencio Paul made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gogo Gaztea in the 23rd minute of play. Gogo Gaztea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gaudencio Paul having to interfere. In the 26th minute Vicente Felipo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gaudencio Paul saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arsenio Arnalt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filiberto Gomez having to interfere. Amado Hanni could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Filiberto Gomez made a huge save.
