Ernesto Marquez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elias Berart, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A very good chance. San lorenzo's Ernesto Marquez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elias Berart in the 26th minute of play. When Elias Berart came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Boca Juniors fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Elias Berart couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elias Berart in the 46th minute of play forced San lorenzo's goalkeeper Ernesto Marquez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The wind increased when Teofilo Lop made the kick off in the second half. In the 72nd minute of the match, Elias Berart got a very nice opportunity to score, but Ernesto Marquez was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 78th minute the ball was on its way in behind San lorenzo's goalkeeper Ernesto Marquez, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Elias Berart got free with Ernesto Marquez in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Domingo Libertad hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Elias Berart could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Ernesto Marquez made a huge save. Ernesto Marquez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Elias Berart in the 82nd minute. Guido Orlandus fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gabriel Inautzi having to interfere. San lorenzo's Ernesto Marquez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save San lorenzo from getting a goal against them. When the match was over Boca Juniors could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than San lorenzo throughout the match.
