Spectators: 6663 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1663, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Roman Jaunzuria took the kick off in the first half of the match. 4 minutes into the game, Roman Jaunzuria recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Zacarias Fidele. Roman Jaunzuria showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Sarmiento AFC's Raimundo Silvanito played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cayetano Tajo in the 8th minute of play. Cayetano Tajo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raimundo Silvanito having to interfere. 12 minutes into the game, Florencio Guillerme was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gardey's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sarmiento AFC the free kick. A collision led to Gardey getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Florencio Guillerme hit a great ball. Sarmiento AFC's Roman Jaunzuria managed to work through Gardey's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Roman Jaunzuria dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. If Roman Jaunzuria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hipolito Ovando fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raimundo Silvanito having to interfere. Cayetano Tajo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raimundo Silvanito having to interfere. After having played for 30 minutes, Rene Telesforo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gardey's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rene Telesforo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Raimundo Silvanito took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benedicto Cordarrel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 34 minutes of play, Gardey's Hipolito Ovando made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Raimundo Silvanito was left in no man's land by his defense there! Gardey's Cayetano Tajo got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 46 minutes into the game, Gardey's Benedicto Cordarrel nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Raimundo Silvanito made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. After the first half Gardey were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Cayetano Tajo made the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Sarmiento AFC's zone, Cayetano Tajo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Raimundo Silvanito came out of the goal and Cayetano Tajo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Benedicto Cordarrel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benedicto Cordarrel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Raimundo Silvanito showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cayetano Tajo in the 65th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Cayetano Tajo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gardey's supporters rose to their feet, but Cayetano Tajo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Raimundo Silvanito breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Benedicto Cordarrel blasted a shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Raimundo Silvanito having to make a save. Cayetano Tajo struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Raimundo Silvanito didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gardey. After 96 minutes of play, Sarmiento AFC's Gregorio Montae made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Zacarias Fidele was left in no man's land by his defense there! Despite being the better team, Gardey failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
