Ruperto Malvin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anier Baumar having to interfere. In the 21st minute, Rolando Gaueko left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Club atlético monte castr fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hugo Fiz in the 29th minute of play forced Club atlético monte castr's goalkeeper Anier Baumar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Hugo Fiz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Antonio Quintanilla in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Anier Baumar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 34 played minutes Club atlético monte castr got a freekick which was hit by Teo Franco. Hugo Fiz struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Anier Baumar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ave Fénix Fútbol Club. Antonio Quintanilla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rolando Gaueko made a kick off. In the 59th minute, Ruperto Malvin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 60 minutes into the game, Teo Franco was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Club atlético monte castr's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ave Fénix Fútbol Club the free kick. In the 60th minute, Teo Franco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ruperto Malvin in the 61st minute of play forced Club atlético monte castr's goalkeeper Anier Baumar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Ave Fénix Fútbol Club booed when Club atlético monte castr was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. After 70 played minutes Ave Fénix Fútbol Club got a freekick which was hit by Benigno Gomez. After having played for 72 minutes, Ruperto Malvin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ave Fénix Fútbol Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ruperto Malvin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hugo Fiz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Anier Baumar made a huge save. When Hugo Fiz came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Ave Fénix Fútbol Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hugo Fiz couldn't finish the play. In the 81st minute, Romulo Onofre hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Club atlético monte castr's zone, Ruperto Malvin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anier Baumar came out of the goal and Ruperto Malvin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hugo Fiz got free with Anier Baumar in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 86thth minute of the game Ruperto Malvin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Club atlético monte castr's Anier Baumar was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Club atlético monte castr getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Rolando Gaueko hit a great ball. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Club atlético monte castr were victorious despite being under pressure from Ave Fénix Fútbol Club for much of the match.
