The audience was convinced that Eusebio Colon's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rafael Min was relentless in the 7th minute of the game. Candelaria's Rafael Min played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eustacio Paez in the 34th minute of play. Eusebio Colon blasted a shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rafael Min having to make a save. When Eustacio Paez came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Poblet fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eustacio Paez couldn't finish the play. Fermin Rafel hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. 48 minutes into the match, Candelaria's goal looked a bit too open when Eusebio Colon came free, but Rafael Min reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Erubiel Danel made the kick off in the second half. Rafael Min was a little too slow when Eustacio Paez got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 54th minute. The score was now 0-1. 61 minutes into the match, Poblet's goal looked a bit too open when Erubiel Danel came free, but Ismael Rojelio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eusebio Colon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Poblet's Eustacio Paez got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 72 minutes into the match, Poblet's Eusebio Colon sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rafael Min narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Poblet's Eustacio Paez in the 76th minute got a chance for a shot 76th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Candelaria's goalie prevented a goal. Ismael Rojelio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gabriel Honrio in the 79th minute of play. Gabriel Honrio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Candelaria's Rafael Min got control of the ball when Eusebio Colon tried to sneak it across the goal line. Teofilo Gabrio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Ismael Rojelio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
