In the 18th minute, Leopoldo Napier got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Leopoldo Napier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leopoldo Napier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Guaberto Terciero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, C.A. LANUS's Luisito Belo got a free kick in the 32nd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Leopoldo Napier managed to get in a good position for a shot. Diablos Rojos's supporters rose to their feet, but Leopoldo Napier was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Guaberto Terciero breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When %teams%'s Leopoldo Napier was free in front of goal, he didn't hesitate to shoot 2-0 just inside the left pole, 39 minutes into the game. Guaberto Terciero was annoyed at himself for letting in the shot. Guaberto Terciero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicolas Ado in the 43rd minute of the match. 48 minutes into the match, C.A. LANUS's goal looked a bit too open when Nicolas Ado came free, but Guaberto Terciero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Leopoldo Napier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicolas Ado in the 55th minute of play forced C.A. LANUS's goalkeeper Guaberto Terciero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Astor Tallia charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Astor Tallia the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to C.A. LANUS getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Astor Tallia hit a great ball. If Nicolas Ado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Leopoldo Napier in the 63rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Guaberto Terciero prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Guaberto Terciero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicolas Ado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 71 minutes, Orlando Confesor mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Diablos Rojos and the C.A. LANUS players grew even worse after the yellow card. Cecilio Txaran was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Vinicio Urki showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 72 minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in C.A. LANUS's zone, Leopoldo Napier stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Guaberto Terciero came out of the goal and Leopoldo Napier tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 78th minute, Leopoldo Napier left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Diablos Rojos fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. After having played for 82 minutes, Nicolas Ado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Diablos Rojos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nicolas Ado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Diablos Rojos booed when C.A. LANUS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luisito Belo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 86th minute of the match Conrado Romero sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Guaberto Terciero skillfully saved the ball. In the 88th match minute, C.A. LANUS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Astor Tallia to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nicolas Ado in the 90th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Guaberto Terciero saved C.A. LANUS from getting behind. Nicolas Ado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Diablos Rojos had played much better football throughout.
