In the 20th match minute, A.A Banda Norte was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonathan Theodore to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in A.A Banda Norte's zone, Baldomero Gabrio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Victor Arnalt came out of the goal and Baldomero Gabrio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Baldomero Gabrio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Silvano Maxin fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored A.A Banda Norte's protests and gave Silvano Maxin a yellow card for diving instead. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. A.A Banda Norte were victorious despite being under pressure from Colelache for much of the match.
