F.C.Ligamentos Cruzados's Melchor Emenon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Angel Peio in the 13th minute of play. Carmelo Maria sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 17 minutes, Elvio Leoncio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the F.C.Ligamentos Cruzados and the Hersilia AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to F.C.Ligamentos Cruzados getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Elvio Leoncio hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ulises Leocadio in the 31st minute of play forced Hersilia AFC's goalkeeper Honorato Soin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Carmelo Maria fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Melchor Emenon having to interfere. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Carmelo Maria to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute there was a penalty for F.C.Ligamentos Cruzados. Pedro Jordy stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Honorato Soin. 1-1. In the 61st minute, Fernan Roldan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pedro Jordy was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 62nd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Honorato Soin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Genaro Gai's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. Melchor Emenon acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 69th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Isaias Ixona. If Carmelo Maria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.
