Spectators: 6655 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1655, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Tiburcio Peruanton started the match with the kick off. In the 4th minute the ball was on its way in behind Diadema's goalkeeper Diego Xabel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Carrera's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Blas Umea in the 6th minute. A collision led to Carrera getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Lisandro Jerano hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Enzo Jokin in the 12th minute of play forced Diadema's goalkeeper Diego Xabel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 16th minute Severo Sidoro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guillermo Bilbo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 20th minute, Arturo Calvet hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Diadema defense, Jimeno Elixio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Diego Xabel. The Diadema fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Diego Xabel should have stopped the shot. Diego Xabel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bruno Quinito in the 25th minute of the match. Jairo Telesforo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guillermo Bilbo having to interfere. After 33 played minutes Carrera got a freekick which was hit by Pablo Miliano. 38 minutes into the match, Carrera's goalkeeper Guillermo Bilbo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jairo Telesforo. Jairo Telesforo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Cristobal Domenec managed to get in a good position for a shot. Diadema's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristobal Domenec was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Guillermo Bilbo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Diadema's Diego Xabel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tiburcio Peruanton in the 46th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Severo Sidoro made the kick off in the second half. Jairo Telesforo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guillermo Bilbo having to interfere. Diadema's Diego Xabel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save Diadema from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Carrera booed when Diadema was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Clodoveo Cebrian didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot by Blas Umea from long distance, 59 minutes into the match, got Diego Xabel's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Jairo Telesforo struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Guillermo Bilbo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Diadema. Jairo Telesforo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jairo Telesforo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Guillermo Bilbo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. Diadema's Jairo Telesforo got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Silvano Naelio kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Tiburcio Peruanton might have been able to make a better finish in the 80th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Diego Xabel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tiburcio Peruanton ran back to his position shaking his head. Luis Rafel's late challenge caught a Carrera's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luis Rafel helped the player get up and apologised. After 81 played minutes Diadema got a freekick which was hit by Luis Rafel. Through an outstanding action, after 82 minutes, Diego Xabel successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Jairo Telesforo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Diadema's supporters rose to their feet, but Jairo Telesforo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Guillermo Bilbo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
