Arnaldo Lain made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Cesar Sabino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Saverio Pacho in the 14th minute of play. jumanji FC's Arnaldo Lain played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felix Fidencio in the 17th minute of play. After 17 played minutes jumanji FC got a freekick which was hit by Teobaldo Maurin. Felix Fidencio hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in jumanji FC's zone, Humberto Tirso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arnaldo Lain came out of the goal and Humberto Tirso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Humberto Tirso during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, RIVER PLATE FC's Humberto Tirso got a free kick in the 26th minute. Saverio Pacho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After the first half RIVER PLATE FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 52nd minute, Fabio Matai got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fabio Matai struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Cesar Sabino didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for jumanji FC. In the 55th minute, Fabio Matai ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cesar Sabino was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fabio Matai in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cesar Sabino prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Humberto Tirso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Arnaldo Lain tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. RIVER PLATE FC's Humberto Tirso got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fabio Matai in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cesar Sabino saved RIVER PLATE FC from getting behind. Arnaldo Lain made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bonifacio Chayo in the 85th minute of play. The supporters of RIVER PLATE FC booed when jumanji FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ermegildo Enetz didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, RIVER PLATE FC's Marcelino Urdaspal got a free kick in the 96th minute. Fabio Matai sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
