If Jairo Telesforo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 10 minutes into the match, Paternal AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Jairo Telesforo came free, but Nicanor Gagriel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jairo Telesforo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicanor Gagriel having to interfere. The supporters of Diadema booed when Paternal AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tiburcio Tolino didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jairo Telesforo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Silvestre Chesus received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Diego Xabel came out and tried to block the shot, but Silvestre Chesus slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 17th minute. Jairo Telesforo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Diadema's Diego Xabel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Diadema from getting a goal against them. After having played for 31 minutes, Cristobal Domenec managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Diadema's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristobal Domenec was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 41 played minutes Diadema got a freekick which was hit by Cristobal Domenec. Diego Xabel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Silvestre Chesus in the 44th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Silvestre Chesus kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Diego Xabel. That made the score 3-0 in the 46 minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The wind increased when Ceferino Honrio made the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute Ceferino Honrio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Diego Xabel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Cristobal Domenec came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Diadema fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristobal Domenec couldn't finish the play. Nicanor Gagriel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Severo Sidoro, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. In the 60th minute Silvestre Chesus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Diego Xabel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jairo Telesforo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Paternal AFC's zone, Severo Sidoro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nicanor Gagriel came out of the goal and Severo Sidoro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 75th minute, Jairo Telesforo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Diadema fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. In the 79th minute the ball was on its way in behind Paternal AFC's goalkeeper Nicanor Gagriel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpected shot in the 80th minute by Cristobal Domenec got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Amador Gomez struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Nicanor Gagriel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Diadema. If Jairo Telesforo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jairo Telesforo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Nicanor Gagriel made a huge save. Jairo Telesforo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicanor Gagriel having to interfere. Baldomiro Benvido kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ceferino Honrio in the 96th minute of play forced Diadema's goalkeeper Diego Xabel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Diadema's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
