Virgilio Corderun had several of the Claraz's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 8 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Anselmo Piorno as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 11th minute of the match Baldomiro Paulin shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cesar Sabino showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. A collision led to RIVER PLATE FC getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Cecilio Veto hit a great ball. 15 minutes into the game, Omar Terciero cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Cesar Sabino was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ramiro Goyo during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After having played for 20 minutes, Astor Bernard managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Claraz's supporters crossed their fingers, but Astor Bernard was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cesar Sabino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Astor Bernard in the 22nd minute of play. In the 27th minute of the match Rosendo Tome sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cesar Sabino skillfully saved the ball. When RIVER PLATE FC's Virgilio Corderun in the 33rd minute got a chance for a shot 33rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Claraz's goalie prevented a goal. A hard shot 37 in the game by Virgilio Corderun from a close distance when the talented Anselmo Piorno managed to make a qualified save. Claraz's players were relieved. Humberto Tirso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Virgilio Corderun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Omar Terciero stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Virgilio Corderun notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Claraz's Anselmo Piorno. Anselmo Piorno was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 55th minute, Virgilio Corderun left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The RIVER PLATE FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. A collision led to Claraz getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Ramiro Goyo hit a great ball. In the 65thth minute of the game Virgilio Corderun who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Claraz's Anselmo Piorno was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Felix Fidencio kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. After 69 played minutes Claraz got a freekick which was hit by Anier Baleren. Virgilio Corderun struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Anselmo Piorno didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for RIVER PLATE FC. Joel Eguerdi charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Joel Eguerdi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Claraz booed when RIVER PLATE FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joel Eguerdi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Omar Terciero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Cesar Sabino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 84th minute, Claraz's Omar Terciero dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-2. When RIVER PLATE FC's Virgilio Corderun in the 90th minute got a chance for a shot 90th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Claraz's goalie prevented a goal. The supporters of RIVER PLATE FC booed when Claraz was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
