After 24 played minutes Paternal AFC got a freekick which was hit by Baldomiro Benvido. After having played for 25 minutes, Arsenio Laurgain managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Deportivo Moron's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arsenio Laurgain was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nicanor Gagriel made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Arsenio Laurgain sent off a good shot on target. After the first half Paternal AFC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Paternal AFC's Nicanor Gagriel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernabe Jacob in the 51st minute of play. 56 minutes into the match, Paternal AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Bernabe Jacob came free, but Nicanor Gagriel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bernabe Jacob sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nicanor Gagriel came out of the goal and Arsenio Laurgain tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 94th minute, Ceferino Honrio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Paternal AFC were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Deportivo Moron's much stronger midfield.
