Spectators: 6663 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1663, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Humberto Tirso took the kick off in the first half of the match. Diadema's Luis Rafel suffered a sore thigh after 6 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 6 minutes, Cecilio Veto mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the RIVER PLATE FC and the Diadema players grew even worse after the yellow card. Diadema's Armando Mannuel was substituted for Luis Rafel. Cecilio Veto kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Cesar Sabino made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Severo Sidoro sent off a good shot on target. 16 minutes into the match, RIVER PLATE FC's goal looked a bit too open when Severo Sidoro came free, but Cesar Sabino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felix Fidencio in the 26th minute of play forced Diadema's goalkeeper Diego Xabel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Diadema getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Cristobal Domenec hit a great ball. In the game's 28th minute RIVER PLATE FC's Cecilio Veto took a hard shot from long distance, a kick which went into the net just to the right of Diego Xabel and thus the score was 0-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Severo Sidoro in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cesar Sabino prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 33rd minute, Cecilio Veto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Severo Sidoro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cesar Sabino having to interfere. When Felix Fidencio came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the RIVER PLATE FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Felix Fidencio couldn't finish the play. After 39 minutes, Bernabe Oliveiro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the RIVER PLATE FC and the Diadema players grew even worse after the yellow card. 41 minutes in the game Humberto Tirso did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Felix Fidencio. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Armando Mannuel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Diadema's supporters rose to their feet, but Armando Mannuel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cesar Sabino breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After the first half RIVER PLATE FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Severo Sidoro was the one to do the kick off. Diadema's Severo Sidoro got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 61 played minutes Diadema got a freekick which was hit by Severo Sidoro. Cristobal Domenec received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Cesar Sabino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jairo Telesforo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 77th minute of the match Arturo Calvet sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cesar Sabino skillfully saved the ball. Armando Mannuel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cesar Sabino having to interfere. Felix Fidencio hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in RIVER PLATE FC's zone, Severo Sidoro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cesar Sabino came out of the goal and Severo Sidoro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cesar Sabino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Severo Sidoro in the 94th minute of the match. Jairo Telesforo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cesar Sabino having to interfere. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched RIVER PLATE FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
