Mauricio Bras made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Franco in the 9th minute of play. Felipe Feliz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Mauricio Bras made a huge save. Joel Franco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mauricio Bras having to interfere. 16 minutes into the match, CHAU MZ's goalkeeper Mauricio Bras had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Felipe Feliz. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind CHAU MZ's goalkeeper Mauricio Bras, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After having played for 22 minutes, Prospero Bidari managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CHAU MZ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Prospero Bidari was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 28th minute, Cirilo Mikeldi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Evelio Savion fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Atletico Lugano Club's protests and gave Evelio Savion a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of CHAU MZ booed when Atletico Lugano Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Evelio Savion didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 33rd minute Cirilo Mikeldi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Damian Sayvion saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mauricio Bras made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Franco in the 34th minute of play. Mauricio Bras made an important save on a dangerous shot by Felipe Feliz in the 35th minute. Serafino Frichoso hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Agustin Arotza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Damian Sayvion tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Joel Franco stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Damian Sayvion made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Prospero Bidari in the 54th minute of play. Felipe Feliz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Joel Franco took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mauricio Bras. Mauricio Bras dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Felipe Feliz might have been able to make a better finish in the 59th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mauricio Bras. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Felipe Feliz ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 62nd minute, Felipe Feliz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Felipe Feliz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 65 minutes into the game, Joel Franco cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Mauricio Bras was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 69 minutes into the match, Atletico Lugano Club's Felipe Feliz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mauricio Bras narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Atletico Lugano Club's Damian Sayvion played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Agustin Arotza in the 71st minute of play. The supporters of CHAU MZ booed when Atletico Lugano Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Serafino Frichoso didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Prospero Bidari had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Felipe Feliz in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mauricio Bras prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Prospero Bidari received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Damian Sayvion tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Atletico Lugano Club's zone, Prospero Bidari stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Damian Sayvion came out of the goal and Prospero Bidari tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Prospero Bidari came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the CHAU MZ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Prospero Bidari couldn't finish the play. 96 minutes into the game, Fernando Mede was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Atletico Lugano Club's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CHAU MZ the free kick. The supporters of CHAU MZ booed when Atletico Lugano Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fernando Mede didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Atletico Lugano Club fans cheered their team off the field, for while CHAU MZ had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
